About the role
To support our next phase of growth we have an opportunity for a talented individual to join our team in Preston as an entry-level Programmer, reporting directly to the Senior Security Consultant.
This is a brand new and varied role where the successful applicant will be involved in a whole range of projects. This will include gaining exposure to cutting edge security technology including intelligent based surveillance video analytics and Bio-Metrics.

Main duties will include:
To create USP middleware solutions that interact with Genetec SDKs and third party appliances.
To create administrative and troubleshooting applications to aid field engineers.
With aided development become proficient in C# and related programming Genetec SDK languages.
Work with Clients and Colleagues at all levels on solutions to problems.
Work flexible and visit project sites if required.
Proactively engage in formal and informal CPD on relevant products and languages.
As the post holder develops into the role, the responsibilities will evolve with it.
About you
Keen interest in programming and software/hardware development.
Enthusiasm and motivation to develop.
Analytical / attention for detail.
Troubleshooting ability to identify and solve problems.
Strong communicator able to communicate to a wide range of stakeholders.
Team work ability to work effectively across a small project team.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities to meet deadlines.
Have or be working towards holding a Driving Licence.
Gain appropriate Security clearance.

Qualifications required
2:1 degree in Computer Science (or similar degree).

37.5 per week
