JOB DESCRIPTION
Job description

Our mission is to prevent death, injury and ill health in Great Britain’s workplaces. It is 40 years since the Health and Safety at Work Act received Royal Assent, providing a new regulatory framework for work place health and safety in Great Britain. The HSE's work covers a varied range of activities; from shaping and reviewing regulations, producing research and statistics and enforcing the law. We focus our efforts where they will have the greatest impact in driving behavioural change and improving health and safety standards and the annual statistics continue to show that our efforts and those of all of our stakeholders are being effective in driving down the occurrences of death, injury and ill health in the workplace.

As workplaces change, so do health and safety need. It's a dynamic and evolving arena that's constantly presenting fresh challenges. We are always looking at new, innovative and imaginative ways to build an effective health and safety culture in the UK: one that will protect people and save more lives.
