JOB DESCRIPTION
Motor Vehicle Technicians (035sk) UK Southern - £23,000 to £27,000 per annum
Additional £6,000 annual bonus potential, paid monthly on performance.

Our clients a long established privately owned organisation which is one of the fastest growing automotive groups in the South West. With dealerships in Bristol, Weston, Westbury, Dorchester, Yeovil and Salisbury representing prestigious brands including VW, Commercial Vehicles, Audi, Skoda and TPS. The company employs around 450 personnel over their various facilities throughout the UK (Southern) regions, and have ambitious growth plans ahead. Actively promoting from within which includes a world class training scheme helping their team members to achieve their professional ambitions. They are now seeking further Vehicle Technicians to join their company with a typical career path as follows:
Service technician >> Qualified Technician >> Master technician >> Workshop Control >> Sales Manager >> After Sales Manager >> Head of Business

Working hours
Option 1 - 5 day working week including alternate Saturday rota (average 45 hours/9 hour shifts)
Option 2 - 3 day on 4 day off week including weekend coverage (average 39 hours per week/12.5 hour shifts)

Job purpose
To safely and efficiently execute the service and repair of customer and retail vehicles in line with brand and manufacturer standards

Tasks include
Service and repair of mechanical faults
Service and repair of electrical faults
Completing administration relating to work done, warranty write ups, timing jobs, parts used and invoicing
Maintain standards of site and workshop cleanliness
Working with the Parts and Service team to ensure a prompt service time
To minimise costs through thorough work standards and efficient waste controls

Whilst candidates with a recognised qualification in mechanical repair would be preferred the clients are happy to consider those who have practical and professional experience in excess of 3 years. All motor vehicle technicians are enrolled onto a brand recognised training programme and they can expect to be accredited within 2 years, with a 6 month fast track programme available for those interested. This is a great opportunity to work in state of the art workshops and with a fantastic product range.
