Our client is a world leader in the field of predictive analytics of sports. They harness the advancements within mathematics and statistics to provide meaningful insight of popular sports for their client base. Our client has a huge amount of cricket data (both sporting event data and betting market data) which they have compiled themselves. This small cricket operations team is responsible for: data collection and analysis, monitoring and analysis of betting market activity, stakeholder problem-solving, identifying and handling of technical issues, researching and testing new product features.

They automate some of the projects and tasks around data collection and analysis so some programming experience will be a big advantage to have there will be opportunity to learn new skills in this area also.

The ideal candidate will have:

Clear passion for cricket
A good level of numeracy
Good Excel skills
Some programming skill in any of: Python, R, VBA
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the clients and the business

As part of a small team candidates will need to have strong inter-personal and communication skills and proven ability to work independently and as a team member.
