JOB DESCRIPTION
Operations / Logistics Manager (005sk) - Berkshire – £40+ Commensurate with experience.

Operations Manager Duties will include:
• Lead site operations team; coordinating drivers, vehicles, loads and journeys
• Ensure quick and efficient solutions to all site issues
• Planning and controlling change in a dynamic environment
• Oversee inventory levels
• To liaise and manage all direct reports on a daily basis to understand/rectify any shortfall in performance
• Implement quality management and regulatory strategies
• Ensure safety regulations are adhered to
• Have an input into the development of the site operations team
• To systematically appraise the performance of each team member and undertake yearly appraisals and set goals/targets for continuous improvement as per agreed KPI’s
• Report to monthly management meetings on performance of the team
• Produce Monthly KPI`s and reports on the effective planning of the business, ensuring the highest levels of quality and service delivery are achieved

Essential qualities:
• Proven track record in operations / team leadership
• Minimum of 5 years team management experience
• Management of a team of more than 10 staff
• Management of a team in a dynamic environment
• Coordinate with other departments

Package
The role comes with a competitive salary, 20 days annual leave and an additional period of leave over the Christmas period (this is discretionary but is usually a 2 week period)
This role would ideally suit a candidate of SNCO/WO rank with a strong Stores Logistics, Fleet management background, experience in the commercial sectors would also be advantageous as you will be required to organise and initiate company logistics policy and systems.
