JOB DESCRIPTION
DD&V Technical Training Specialist (272jc) - Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - Excellent Expat Package

My client, who is a major telecoms provider, is now seeking a DD&V Technical Training Specialist for their operations in Saudi Arabia, you will be reporting to the Cap & Tech Training Delivery Manager.

Primary Objectives & Functions:
• A key member of the Special Systems Team accountable to the Training Manager for project related activities.
• To support the Training Manager in the management, control and monitoring of his projects.
• To deputise for the Training Manager as requested at meetings and during periods of absence from Saudi Arabia.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Special Systems team is the primary interface to the customer (UK MOD and SANG) for all Special Systems project activities and is responsible for creating and delivering through-life, value for money solutions at minimal risk to the Company.

Primary Responsibilities:
In addition to the primary objectives and functions, the following tasks shall be conducted on a regular basis:
• A disciplined approach to ensure effective project planning and control.
• Regular reviews with staff on the progress of the project and associated business aspects.
• Liaison with sub-contractors and the Company Pass Office to ensure that access to SANG sites is achieved in order to meet project timelines.
• Coordination of all project activities as directed by the Training Manager; to include, Quality Assurance, Site Supervision, Documentation Control, Project Planning, Reporting and Testing following the DSAT QS Methodology.
• Act decisively and communicate effectively

Secondary Responsibilities:
• Similar responsibilities as stated above for other Company projects

Contact with Others (Internal/External/Meetings):
The post-holder will be expected to manage, on a daily basis, effective Informal Meetings, Formal Meetings, Correspondence and Reports with respect to Training and relationships with a wide stakeholder group including:
Internally:
• Company – Middle Management, Project Managers, Training Specialist, Engineering and Managed Services staff.
Externally:
• MOD / SANG – Middle Management
• Sub-contractor Training Providers

Judgement/Decision Making Authority (Specific Responsibilities):
• Empowered to commit the company within appropriate delegated limits.

Recruitment Specification (Knowledge & Experience):
Essential:
• Project Management qualification or relevant experience. (PRINCE 2 – Practitioner)
• Training Delivery Experience
• Experience of Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT QS)
• Must be a team player capable of delivering results with strong problem solving skills, energy and initiative.
• Proven flexible approach to working in a pressurised environment to meet deadlines.
• Fully conversant with Microsoft software including Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access.
• Hold a valid driving licence.
Desirable:
• Training development or Instructional Systems design
• Certificate in Training Practice, CIPD
• Business experience in the Defence Sector
• Experience of living or working in the Middle East.
• Membership of a Professional Institution

As this role is based in Saudi Arabia, candidates must meet all of the minimum qualifications as they are not bound by UK or EU Laws, also only individuals up to the age of 55 will be considered for any of these roles.
